Hodohodo Shudo Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Introduction

Hodohodo Shudo (the “App”) respects your privacy and handles information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information We Handle

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The App primarily processes and stores the following information on your device:

  • Drink records: drink type, time logged, party session, moderation target, and session status
  • Settings: moderation target, alternating-drink settings, reminder settings, display language, custom messages, and onboarding completion status
  • Achievements: points, collected titles, and the dates those titles were collected
  • Developer-support purchase history: App Store transaction ID, purchase date, and quantity

  • Apple processes credit card numbers, bank account details, and other payment information used for a support purchase. The App and we do not receive or store that payment information.

    2. Information Collected Through Firebase Analytics

    The production version of the App uses Firebase Analytics to understand usage and improve the App. Information sent may include:

  • App usage and device information automatically collected by the Firebase SDK, such as app launches and screen activity
  • The type of drink logged; total drinks, alcoholic drinks, and moderation target for a party; points; and total party count
  • Events such as changing a target or reminder, resetting data, deleting history, and changing messages
  • Title ID, title name, total points, and whether a title or party result was shared
  • Opening the developer-support screen; starting, completing, cancelling, or failing a purchase; product ID; and error code

  • These events do not include your name, email address, the date or time of an individual drink record, or an App Store transaction ID. The Firebase SDK may automatically handle an app-instance identifier, device information, operating-system version, app version, and related information.

    3. Information Collected Through Firebase Crashlytics

    The production version of the App uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix problems. When a crash or error occurs, stack traces, the state of the App at the time of the crash, app, operating-system, and device information, and identifiers generated or obtained by Crashlytics may be sent to Google LLC.

    4. Information Sent When You Contact Us

    If you use the in-app contact feature, the App signs in anonymously through Firebase Authentication and sends the following information to Cloud Firestore:

  • Your message
  • Your email address if you request a reply
  • Your Firebase anonymous user ID
  • App version, build number, platform, and operating-system version
  • Time sent

  • Using the contact feature is optional. You do not need to provide an email address unless you request a reply.

    5. Information Handled by Remote Config

    The App uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve settings such as support page URLs. Standard connection information and app or device information handled by the Firebase SDK may be sent to Google LLC when the App retrieves configuration data.

    6. Information Handled for In-App Purchases

    The App uses Apple’s App Store and StoreKit to retrieve product prices, process purchases, verify transactions, and retrieve purchase history. The App processes information such as product ID, transaction ID, purchase date, quantity, and transaction status. Apple manages your payment information and Apple Account.

    How We Use Information

    We handle information to:

  • Provide drink logging, moderation targets, points, titles, history, reminders, sharing, and other App features;
  • Store and restore your selected settings and support-purchase history;
  • Process in-app purchases and verify transactions;
  • Respond to inquiries and understand requests and defects;
  • Analyze usage, improve quality, and detect and fix crashes; and
  • Deliver App settings such as support page URLs.

  • Third-Party Services and Disclosure

    The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Google LLC: Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Remote Config
  • Apple Inc. and its affiliates: App Store, StoreKit, in-app purchases, purchase history, and refund processing
  • Expo / React Native: application frameworks

  • We do not sell your information or provide it to advertising networks. Information is sent to the services above only as needed to provide the App, process payments, respond to inquiries, analyze usage, and improve quality. Information may be processed and stored on servers outside your country or region.

    For details about these services, see:

  • Google Privacy Policy
  • Firebase Privacy and Security
  • Apple Privacy Policy

  • Sharing Features

    When you share a title or party result, the App passes an image and post text to the iOS share sheet. You select the destination. The destination service handles shared information under its own terms and privacy policy.

    Retention and Deletion

  • Drink records, moderation targets, alternating-drink settings, messages, points, and titles remain on your device until you use “Full Reset” in the App or delete the App.
  • “Full Reset” does not delete support-purchase history, display language, notification settings, or onboarding completion status.
  • Deleting the App normally removes the App’s local data from your device. It does not remove purchase history managed by Apple or information retained by the operating system or third-party services. On supported operating-system versions, the App may retrieve support-purchase history again from Apple’s transaction history.
  • To request deletion of information submitted through the contact feature, email us at the address below. We may ask for information, such as the email address used when sending the message, to identify the relevant record.
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data are retained and deleted according to our Firebase settings and Google’s policies.

  • Security

    We use reasonable safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration of information. Information stored on your device is protected by device security features such as a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

    Privacy of Underage Users

    Because the App contains alcohol-related content, it is not intended for anyone who is under the legal drinking age under the laws that apply where they live or use the App. If we learn that we have intentionally collected information from such a person, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

    Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy in response to legal requirements or changes to the App. If a change is important, we will provide notice in the App or on a website designated by us.
